Primary Schools for the Wapping catchment area
The first post in a series on the relative performance of schools in the local area. Here I begin by identifying the relevant primary schools I'll be looking into. In subsequent posts I'll look at their performance before moving onto secondary schools and borough-wide educational issues. Depending on availability I will include information on independent schools, but my focus will be on state funded schools.
First-off, Tower Hamlets is changing the way that children apply for a primary school place, introducing 7 catchment areas, with that catchment area applying to all schools in that catchment area, rather than each school having its own catchment area (though this may differ for voluntary aided schools, such as those overseen by the Church of England and the Catholic Church).
For the Wapping map see here or to see which catchment area you live in (or links for maps for other areas see this site or this map).
State funded primary schools in the Wapping catchment area are (*denotes a voluntary school):

Capacity
The utilisation of capacity of these schools in 2012 varied from 100% to 74%, with 91% of the capacity in use. Revised data is overdue from the Department for Education (DfE), and I'll update this analysis. The next step is to model this capacity against the number of children in the area.School name | # of Pupils | Capacity | Utilisation |
